Christmas in UK and Paris

Here are the pictures of our trip to the UK.

On our return from Paris, Hannah created this gingerbread house that Jane and Anne gave her for Christmas. It was delicious.

Andrea, Keith and Donald were in Paris. We saw their funky apartment near the Bastille and then spent a day with them at the City of Science and Industry. Here's Donald demonstrating his throwing arm.

It may be cold and wet, there may be tourists everywhere, but "Paris is worth a lunch," as Henry IV should have said.

Carousels, carousels, carousels. We couldn't keep Rachel off them. "Come on Mum, can we go now," said Sam. "No, just one more," said Mum.

Granny with Hannah and Sam in front of the Tower of Disappointment. We were staying near the Tower and on New Year's Eve woke the kids up at ten to midnight so that they could see what we assured them would be a fantastic fireworks display. Hah! A few coloured lights came and on and off and then everyone went back to being French. "C'est la vie," we told the kids. Hannah refused to look at the Tower again for the rest of our stay.

Like Bradman and Hammond. Or Hutton and Hassett, Chappell and Illingworth, Taylor and Atherton, Ponting and Vaughan. When the competition is over we can all have a laugh. Although I don't think Illingworth ever laughed.
