Road Trip Day 1

Our first day was all about getting us to the edge of Rocky Mountain National Park ready to start our adventures on Day 2. The flight was uneventful, although I did get to see a couple of episodes of Green Acres on the airplane TV. Our hire car is a Jeep Compass which, fortunately, Sam approves of, especially as it's gold, no it's tan, no gold. The only real excitement of the day came during an hour around 2pm. There was drama (Hannah throwing up her lunch), comedy (two engineers desperately trying to work out how to put a child's booster seat together while retaining some semblance of dignity), frustration (I stood in the same piece of fresh chewing gum in a car park twice), and beauty (the first view of the Rocky Mountains as we approached Boulder.)
